Can you emulate

What Man City, Newcastle & Everton have done at the Britannia ( ie score a goal, even though Evertons goal was an actual OG & even though Newcastle scored, they lost the game ).

Welcome to the fortress that is The Britannia Stadium. (played 8 , won 4 , drew 4, lost 0 conceding only 3 goals)

Be prepared for a dull & dour battle, that our manager will be well happy with a 0-0, because in his pre/post match comments will big up Liverpool ( great side, top 4 potential, great history, how can we compete with such a massive club, thought saurez & gerrard were fantastic etc,etc ).

So to all of you who are travelling down, have a safe journey & to all you red fans best of luck for the season.

Watching the way stoke play and seeing how happy they are with dire football just makes been from stoke worse.

I'm not sure what to expect from this one to be honest.
This season we've performed we'll against hard away opposition. But seeing as we battered a team at home, mhe tables may turn.
My best bet is 1-1, stoke header and shelvey near 70th minute

Geodude was that reply really called for?

You have been in the prem since its existence, we are playing catch up.

Solidity in this league is all we require ( no matter how we play ).

Give us 20 years & see where we are then with the sky money available, think we might be a tad more adventorous, but not bleating on about our past glories.

BrittaniaBob. The excuse about establishing yourself is wearing quite thin now. You've been in the PL long enough now to consider yourself more than established. The simple fact is, it's the only way your manager knows how to play. Sure it works for you, and I'm not one to whinge about playing it hard, but Stoke are a disgrace at times, and how refs let them constantly get away with it is a joke.

Anything is possible with our little Uruguayan genius.

Absolutely

I also think it will be a big game for Raheem

I have no real problem with the way Stoke play. I like to see a bit of variety in the league and different approaches. it's one of the reasons why the premiership is so popular. stoke are a throwback, and at times step over the mark, but it will be interesting to see how our players cope with the battle.

Pulis is a bit of a nobber though.

I think we'll lose this.

I played for Stoke's youth team 20 years ago. They played the same style then. I got left out of the team because i was smaller and skillful than most of the players.

Stoke play how most of the English academies thought they should play in that era.

I was a tricky winger. I was taught to take my man on, get to the bye line and cut the ball back for the striker to score. When i went to Stoke the first thing i heard when i got the ball was 'get rid of it' from the coach. I went to Boobby Charlton soocer school and the same thing happened there. 'Get rid of it'.

If you were not 6ft and built like an ape you didn't get game time. Kick and run was the tactic.

Because of this i don't hate Stoke. They just play the British way and if that means points on the table so be it!!

If the whole league played the same style of football it would be a boring league

Yep, I have to agree - nothing against Stoke per se, but Pullis is a bit of a wanchor
