Lee Fowler

Has signed a deal until the end of the season.

A midfielder who previously played under Dean at Wrexham, but been signed from Fleetwood Town.

Know nothing of him, but obviously Dean thinks he can do a job for us and knows his game!

Wiki reveals that his footballing past has been full of incident. If he has gained from his experiences he could have more to offer than most. What Wiki does not mention is that he was in the 2011/12 Blue Square Conference Team of the Year. DS obviously knows his game well and he clearly really enjoyed playing for him at Wrexham. If he is up to the grade he will surely give of his best now they are reunited.

He's in contention for tomorrows game. Also team news states paynter will begin a 3 game ban so I assume the appeal was unsuccessful??

There was no appeal Azza. We didn't have sufficient evidence (video didn't catch it)

I actually dont think the ref saw it clearly either.
When the defender lumped the ball up the line the ref was in my direct line of sight and his eyes were following the ball.
He reacted to the crowd noise and turned round as the two players untangled themselves.
I dont think there was any way that he could have had a proper view of what actually went on.

That will be why then Fuzzy I know Deano post match said we were to appeal but obvs if there's no evidence we can't.

In jhis pre match interview Azza, Dean said that neither ors nor the league had a video of the incident as they followed the ball. He did say that the United player was prepared to say nothing happened but that is not good enough these days. If we appealed and lost Billy would get another game so it is not worth doing.

Did we really need another midfielder ?

Yes. I suspect DS wants Syers to play a more forward role due to the current Striker issues and Fowler will be injury cover and sub support. It's the area that Rovers have been relatively weak in up to the last few games. Plus I guess he will be cheap and good value for money

Well assessed nookie.
Much cheaper than Wellens i bet.
