United fan in peace here. Just wanted to get your opinions on how long you guys think you will be able to hold on to Luis Suarez for. For me he is quite clearly one of the best strikers in the world right now. Surely a player like him needs CL football, and IMO Liverpool won't be able to offer it to him any time soon.
Looking at Suarez's attributes, he has wonderful technique, incredible dribbling ability, is versatile across the front line, links up well with players around him, and is very hard working. He fits the description of a Barcelona forward perfectly. I wouldn't be surprised to see them come in for him soon. If they did, do you reckon you'd be able to keep him?

Our squad is good enough for 4th.

With a bit of luck, maybe. But I'd say there are 5 clubs in the league with better squads than you.

i would say we have a top 4 spine, but not a top 4 squad.
they are good enough for top 4 finish, no reason on current form why not, but we are weak in backup, or relying on potential rather than proven, so unless we stay injury free(how likely is that lol already lost Enrique) top 6 at a push.

Maybe jenners, but I dont really see the strength in depth of teams like spurs, everton, or arsenal for that matter.

For the first time in my life as a fan i'd actually give my blessing to a player wanting to move on because in Luis Suarez, we have a player who deserves to be in the elite competitions.
Love the guy.

Irrespective of what people might think of Suarez, there is no doubting that he is a class act as a footballer!

Liverpool can't afford to let Suarez go, it's as simple as that. He is a hugely talented footballer, a year or two shy of his prime.
Liverpool simply don't have any other players like that (with the possible exception of Lucas if he can get back to top form after his injury). There is always a risk that younger players won't fulfil their potential and most of Liverpool's squad comes under that bracket.
If Liverpool lost Suarez then they are left with a mid table squad with a good defence, if they keep him, then they are two or three players away from the top four.
I actually don't think that Liverpool would be able to attract anyone good enough to get them into the top 4 anytime soon if Suarez left.
