If seeing FIFA's team of 2012 hasn't convinced you that they're just a bunch of farceurs, here's another example.
As most of you know already after UEFA's lenient punishment against the Serbian FA (one under21 match to be played behind closed door plus a £65,000 fine), FIFA's Sepp Blatter came out at a press conference on 15th Dec suggesting that he's not happy with it and that he will have a word with Platini. According to BBC Sport, Mr Blatter elaborated "on his belief that Fifa has set a strong example when confronted with cases of racism".
Fast forward to 8th January and see FIFA's punishments for Bulgarian FA and Hungarian FA for the racist/ anti-Semitism incidents that occurred during their home games against Denmark (Bulgaria), respectively Israel (Hungary).
One game to be played behind closed doors and fines of $23,000 (Bulgaria) and £26,000 (Hungary). You couldn't make it up.

These 'fines' wouldn't cover Blatter n Co's bar bill on a night out.
Why do they even bother!!!!!!!!!

So what should the fines be then? Fines for violent conduct are similar so these seem fine to me. Violent conduct is worse than any form of verbal abuse

Chabillionaire would you care to expand your point?
How about docking them teams points and/or excluding them from tournaments?! You can't educate fans with a slap on the wrist. Financial fines mean nothing to them FAs as they're not poor.

3-5 game ban for players, 5 year ban for fans.

Then again it depends on the situation.

I wouldn't be too surprised if for example the Serbian FA or lets say Hungarian FA do not have a CCTV system or other fans recognition methods on the stadiums, thus they can't punish individually those fans that performed racist chants. How would you punish them for the mentioned incidents?

Game behind closed doors. Just like if there's violence. Isn't that's what is happening?

Violence is worse than abuse. Some idiot was wanting Serbia banned from all levels of football and their club sides. Ince or Ian wright I'm sure it was. Isn't that just as racist? He's wanting everyone treated in this way simply because their Serbian.
