Manhunter was nearly twenty years older, relatively low budget in comparison but far superior as a film, directed by michael mann, always a guarantee of quality, didn't need to rely on big name cast and to top it all had a superb soundtrack.

The soundtrack was called heartbeat, i forget the name of the band but they used it in an episode of Miami Vice.Proper cops n robbers stuff.

Manhunter is great, but I remember seeing Silence of the Lambs at the cinema and it was and still is an amazing film.
I totally fell in love with Jodie Foster too... and she ain't in Manhunter.

Me too, I nearly fell for Buffalo Bill in his new garms as well. It was only when I saw him as the detective in Monk years later that the love died.
