HEART OF THE TEAM INJURED

We have no back up plan for the loss of either Gleeson or Chadwick. These two are the engine room of the team, Robinson MUST get at least one GOOD player in to give us a chance of promotion this year. Yet again injuries are going to leave us in league one for another year if we don't get our fingers out.

Next year we will have an even BIGGER stadium to have half full. The problem is who do we get in???

It is rather alarming that we have collected one point from our last three home games.
We are just about clinging on to a play off spot, but have a cluster of other clubs hot on our tails.
The other clubs in the play off places, dont look like they are going to slip up, although Sheff Utd have hit a bad patch.

Sorry to say we will be play off material at best.
As I have said many times before we cannot afford to lose out on promotion yet again, because we will lose our manager, lose players and more importantly lose fans.

One of the problems is that Robinson keeps bringing people in on loan and then not playing them, if they are not good enough to be in the team why the heck bring them in.

Thats the second home match against bottom 4 opposition that has been a draw. They are only in the playoff place by the virutal of a 2 goal difference.

Pete has said that if its not this year then he will wont be spending money next season.

I guess the question is: Is Robbo the right man for the job, I cannot see any progress from last season in fact in some ways they are worse.

We have unloaded three players was this to accomodate McCleod or is it to bring more new players, I hope it's the later.

Mcloed needs to find the net and fast.
Brentford have Donaldson, who scores a lot of goals, they are solid, so cant see them dropping out of the top six, Tranmere are defying the odds and are far more consistent than us, although I still maintain we are a better team than them.
Doncaster are very solid, Sheff Utd have the spending power to bring in new recruits, Bournemouth are full of confidence and I cant see their run faltering.
Swindon can score goals and have a great manager.

As I say we cant afford to throw points away, if we want to make the playoffs.
We are ten points off the top two, with a game in hand, but to be honest cant see us catching them.
This was meant to be a weak league, and theres still, Stevenage, Crawley and Yeovil who are all decent sides.

Has Balanta gone back to QPR ?.
The players must rise to the challenge.

Is Robinson insane, MK Dons have 2 goalkeepers and he loans one out to Walsall who are only a few points behind. What happens if Martin gets injured in the warm-up?

posted on 14/1/13

I have genuinely heard that if Martin gets injured Paul Heald will fill his gloves, and apparently it's not a windup .

It's what Ian and us needed though, it has it's risks but it's worth a risk especially with a recall oppertunity.

Us as the fans or Us as MK Dons?

I can see why Ian needed it, but not why either of the Us's needed it.

Is Paul Heald training to be match fit just in case?

I totally disagree that it is a risk worth taking

To gain promotion we need to change the system. We require a midfielder who can drive the team forward rather than 20-30 passes going nowhere. Other teams break quickly that is why we have lost the last few games and why we only drew on Saturday. Also we need some pace when we attack. To many players just stand back and admire when someone breaks upfield. I would bring MacKenzie into defense and move Kay or Williams into midfield to push forward. Hartley is too similar to Potter. We do not need 6 players behind the ball when we attack. If we play Lowe and McLeod then both need to be forward to keep pressure of opposition defense not one in the hole as neither can play there.

I agree with a lot of what you say Dusty. We are becoming too much of a one trick pony and there is nothing wrong with changing formation in a game if we have the players for it.

We also continuely get beaten by a physical team and the long punt into our defence. Either the current players need to beef up, get the 1st and 2nd ball or we need to play those who ready for the physical stuff as well as able to pass quickly and accurately.

We also desperately need to improve our taking and playing set pieces. I've seen pub teams with better, while Williams may also be a good understudy to Chadders while getting Bradley Wright-Phillips and /or Judge.

Good to see we did improve our set pieces. Now we have to do that and more for the rest of the season.
