With all of the movement at Manchester City and them signing a truly top class centre forward in Aguero; where does that leave us?
I would like to think that with additions of top players like Diego Forlan and Adebayor, We could match their strike force but can anybody see us going in for these players? It seems strange that a few years ago we were always willing to pay over the odds for players like Darren Bent but not for proven quality.
I feel that we are definitely falling behind and although I believe that, player for player, we are actually better than Liverpool, the players that they have signed will make them much more consistent in the league, especially against the smaller teams because, players like Charlie Adam, Gerrard, Downing, Suarez and Carroll will absolutely demolish some teams.
Anyway, apologies for the poor grammar but does anyone feel that we are falling behind? Or do you trust in Levy to help us keep up?
With the noise at City......

I think the answer is clear when you look at what other teams are doing and what we're doing. We will fall behind if it stays like it. Where is our ambition in trying to solve a problem that has been with us for over a year? There should be even more emphasis with the teams around us strengthening but no, still nothing.

but can they really have real team spirit and a desire to achieve with a team full of greedy mercenaries?

What i dont understand about Spurs is. In January didnt you bid 40m for Aguero and probably around 20m on Rossi, Llorente as well?
Was this just a smokescreen by levy to make it look like you actively signed a striker knowing there wasn't time for a deal? Surely you could get somebody like Llorente now
