league reconstruction for me should be about getting rid of the meaningless clubs.

A United twitter site (arabarchive) did a poll of it's users to see the most popular league structure and around 35% of users voted 14-14-14 as the preferred structure.

Since we're all about Sporting Integrity it could well be that United are going to vote for that structure if that's what we, the supporters, want.

The guy who does it has only posted which option was leading the voting and that's the 14-14-14 on just over 36%.

We need something that will revitalise the interest and competition

Change the league structure to

Premier Division - 15 Teams
28 Games
3 Teams Relegated

Second Division - 15 Teams
28 Games
3 Teams Promoted
2 Teams Relegated to regional leagues



Change the League cup. Offer the winner (no matter what division the wqinner comes from) a Europa Cup place as a bigger incentive and seed the draw. This ensures that the larger team will probably play each other towards the end of the competition.


Re-organise the FA cup along the lines of the European Chamions league competition

There should be 8 groups of 5 with a total of 40 teams. Each team entered into the cup should be seeded according to their league finishing position the previous season or possibly a continous co-efficient based on the previous 5 years performance.

A qualifying competition for the smaller teams to enter the FA cup can fill the remaining spots

Teams play each other home & away. 8 Games

All teams will have played 36 games (league and FA cup) by this time in the competiton.

The top 2 in each group then move through to 4 groups of 4 and play each other home and away. 6 games (The bottom 3 could drop into a version of the league/Ramsdens cup as a consolation). 42 games to this point.

The top 2 in each group then move through to the last 8 where there is a knockout system in place to the final. The finalists will play an extra 3 games.

That makes it 45 games in the season for the most successful and also a lot more interest
