The importance of the next 8 games?

The next 8 Premier League games up until the Manchester derby are what will determine the winner of the league for me. If we aren't at least 5 points ahead of them after the next 8 games i'd seriously worry about our chances of winning.

Uniteds next 8:

Southampton Home, Fulham Away, Everton Home, QPR Away, Norwich Home, West Ham Away, Reading Home, Sunderland away.

The games that worry me slightly there are QPR, Everton, West Ham and Sunderland but really i'd consider it a bad run if we drop points in more than one of those games.

Cities next 8:

QPR Away, Liverpool Home, Southampton Away, Chelsea Home, Villa Away, Wigan Home, Everton Away, Newcastle Home.

There are a few games there that could trouble city hopefully starting with QPR tonight.

We should be more than 5 points clear at the end of these 8 games otherwise i'd genuinely fear our chances of winning the league due to our much harder run in and frankly I don't think I could handle losing to those twads two seasons in a row.

Rob, I appreciate the effort but there's nothing there the bog standard player can't do. Even I'm awesome at that little spin he does at about 0:25. I would use that bad boy twice a game to get out of trouble!

The rest of the video is pretty much what we know he's good at: running at pace past the winger and whipping a ball in. He's a great at that. But there isn't any particularly quick feet like Hazard, Nani and Ribery and you can tell he isn't that comfortable with using his right, albeit, he does use it a little.

I'm not saying he isn't technically good, because I think he is. But there isn't a greal deal of trickery there.

I don't know if you can watch youtube videos at your work (I assume you're there) but the one I posted a few comments above shows that in addition to pace, Bale does have a trick and a great shot.

I don't think he'll be quite as good as Ronnie but I do think he'll get close. He has that 'X Factor' and if he gets a move to La Liga he'll have even more space to do what he does and could be a success there.

..and power, their physique, a great shot, good in the air, good attitude and occasional diver.

Not saying he will become as good as Ronaldo but Ronaldo is the exact player Bale should be aspiring to.

Well, I think a lot of the stuff he does there at great pace is something most wingers (including Hazard and Duff) can't do.

He is effective in ways most wingers wish they could and considering the way United play he would be perfect for us.

But thanks for at least watching the video

I agree with that. I think we all agreed earlier on that the more technical the game gets, as in the more teams look for mini Silva's and Hazard's, the more likely the likes of Bale are to flourish and do well because they are a different sort of proposition to defend against. A player like that is useful in ANY squad. I just don't think he's worth as much as you think or has the potential to get to the levels you think he can reach. I could be wrong. To be honest, I hope I am. I've got nothing against Bale or anything and the better the players are in the PL then the better.

I'm off anyway, good debating here.

Lol, just watched the video of Bale Rob, there is literally no skills involved, just him running at pace like everybody says.

I can't. And don't really go by clips anyway. You could fill hours of fim watching a great technical players like Best, Cruyff, Giggs, Ronaldo etc strutt their stuff.

A one minute clip of Bale doing it once isn't going to convince me. All I see in Bale is a better left footed version of Valencia.

Would I like to see Bale at United, yes, but not at anything more than 35 mil, and that is 10 mil more than I think he is worth.

Watch it again. If you didn't see any tricks then you need to watch again. Granted, the whole 4 minutes isn't tricks but anyone watching that and then thinking he's just a kick and rush guy is clearly not seeing it.

Fair enough VC.

I just think he's better than Hazard and should be worth more. Sure, Hazard may well be overpriced but i'd rather have Bale in the side than Hazard or Lucas.
