The standard in the Prem this season is not what it was in seasons past.

Arsenal do score a fair few goals and their defensive RECORD is, on paper, not all that bad.

The reality is as a team and individually, they make mistakes and it costs them points.

You can play great football and miss and defend badly and get away with it at times. I look at how a team plays going forward and when defending. The stats are useful, but only up to a point.

The OP's point is valid, he's highlighting that despite the loss of RVP, we have managed to outscore a lot of teams & are the 3rd highest goal scoreres in the league

And even though we are criticised for having a poor defense & goalie(man Utd fans).
We have the 3rd best defence in the league.

We have actually outscored Arsenal with RvP of a year ago, I believe. We had 48 on February 25th 2012, we have 50 now.

We had also conceded more.
