Oh errr Matron

Has anyone seen Pearson's vague description of Wood's injury...

"He's just got a knock in training. It's his lower limb and hopefully he will be OK," said Pearson when asked about the injury.

As far as I'm aware we have two lower limbs, not one, and they are called legs. Found it curious he didn't say this, so was wondering whether Pearson has gone all Kenneth Williams on us and is in fact referring to an injury to Wood's... well wood?

His interviews are class.

He was obviously fuming about the result and couldnt be bothered with questions about wood or his injury or the fact that he was being probed to say yes we missed wood and thats why we lost. (which would be bull anyway)

im not sure why we expect to know exactly whats happened before today anyway. We were told early on that he was injured wouldnt be able to compete and that the clubs medical staff where with the team for peterborough. i dont think its serious just came at an irritating time just hours really before the game.

back to pearson his sense of humour make me laugh in interviews. "its his limb" hahahaha i dont tune in to his interviews for any information any more just to hear his sarcastic answers is entertainment in itself!

Then I read another article...

"It's around his knee area. But I don't think I need to go into details on that,"

My thoughts exactly, in fact when he said that i stopped laughing and turned the car radio up!!

The story is that Wood did not get his injury during training hence the vague manner in which pearson didn't want to talk about it or even elaborate on the injury.

According to the OS, Nigel Pearson says Wood will be out for tomorrow, but should be back for next league game.

I heard we've arranged the temporary loan of Big Steve Howard to cover Wood's absence.
