Yes you. I see you there, getting all cross about the defeat against Blackburn. Look at you. You're going all red and that vein on your forehead is sticking out. Eww...

We Arsenal fans are, by a long way, the most melodramatic fans on the planet. Losing to Blackburn is disappointing but not a lot else. It is not an indictment on Wengers tenure, nor does it sum up our lack of ambition. It's just a game we lost and another competition over early.

But to read some of the things you have been writing, you'd think we got completely outplayed by Blackburn as the players sat on their ar5es, arms folded while Wenger rubbed his hands with delight, cackling wildly as his plans to destroy Arsenal Football Club came to fruition MWU-HAHAHAHAHAHA!

So allow me to offer you a fresh perspective: we played ok on Saturday. We weren't at our best and our finishing was poor but we didn't play badly. Sir Chesney saved all of Blackburns deliberate shots; Coquelin was great at RB; Rosicky looked like he was back to full fitness (or as close as he ever gets); and Gervinho was lively as he tends to be, but lacked a certain sharpness which is to be expected of a player who has been out of the side for months.

Getting dumped out of the cup sucks. Getting dumped out by Blackburn stings, but the reactions of some of you has been ridiculous. We were significantly more unlucky than we were poor.

But "oh well", says I. Never mind. Worse things happen at sea and other such cliches. It really, really isn't the end of the world. I promise.
