Hamilton choked in Q3 yesterday

This isn't the first time he has been scruffy in the last high pressure minute of Q3. I might be unique on this forum, because I actually think that Hamilton has more natural talent than Vettel. Most Hamilton critics doubt his talent, whereas I think he is the most talented.

BUT

I think Vettel is mentally stronger and handles pressure a lot better. You only need to watch Hamilton to know that he is easily the most talented man in Formula one, and arguably the most talented F1 driver since Senna.

It is just a pity he can't be a bit more ice cool in the last high pressure minute of Q3. He is so talented that he still manages to qualify on the front row even when he makes mistakes in Q3. The frustrating thing is that when he gets it right in Q3 he can pull out some Senna-esque laps. But he doesn't do it often enough for me.

If you combine Vettel's winners mentality with Hamilton's natural talent, you would get the new Senna. The sad thing is that I used to think Hamilton would be one of those born winners who you just knew would find an amazing qualifying lap in the last minute to get Pole. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for a while because Red Bull had such a great car but still I always felt that deep down Hamilton doesn't fulfil his potential in qualifying and almost always makes a mistake in the last minute of qualifying. Yesterday was the confirmation - He should have been on pole but he choked.

The clues about Hamilton's weak pressure handling skills go back to his throwing away of the title in 2007 and then he almost threw it away again in 2008. I thought he would grow and would become stronger under pressure but it hasn't happened.
