Huddersfield Town 0-0 Ipswich Town

easiest 'update' ever....

There's only One Town....
& they don't drive Tractors !
Well Fellow Town fans, We can be as flippant as we like for this thread because......
As seems to be the way in this Championship League here on ja 606, Ipswich don't appear to patronize their board

Ipswich Town then.
Last 8 as follows, L W L W L D D L,
They are in 18th position on the league table, Just 1 point better off than 'The PROPER TOWN'..
We are in 21st place But have a game in hand, & are on 37 pts.

Ipswich have had 2 home fixtures this week,
Sat v Blackpool, a win for the home side 1-0, but a set back Tuesday night, Watford were the visitors, 0-2.

It's Ironic, We are also in the same positions in the current 'Last 8' form table.!
Ipswich in 18th...& obtained 8pts
TOWN in 21st ................ 6 pts.

Both sides need a win from this fixture....need being the operative word,
We are both struggling at the wrong end of the table, & McCarthy has said in last weeks local Suffolk paper....
"It won't be pretty"..warning.."That entertaining football will have to wait"...!
He then went onto say...
"We're not in a position where we can be expansive & choosy about how we play"....
&,
"of course we want to play well," adding,
"but 1st & foremost, we want to stay in the league"...

And, lets be honest,
Those words could just as well have come from Town's new manager Mark Robins..already under the pump after 2 disastrous results this week !
(less said about that the better for now)

What to expect, should 'trends' be consistent..
TOWN
At HOME...
tend to score well during the 1st 15 minutes, We have scored 7 times in the early part of the game, conceding just once !

We also seem to score well in the last 15 ! 6 times to date, However.
we also leak goals during the latter stages... 5 to be precise.

By contrast, Ipswich.
Away from Home...
Have a very poor scoring record during any part of the game..
Significantly they also leak goals during the whole of the 2nd half !
Are they Bug Argh'd ?
in the 46 to 60th minute they have conceded 6 goals.
in the 61 to 75 minute period, ..let in 7
& the same for the 76th to the final whistle...7.

So taking that into account, We 'should'...be able to put 1 in early on,
then hit 'em with another in the 2nd half...
Will it turn out that way ?

The way we've been playing...
Will it flippin' 'eckers like.

It will be very Interesting to see What Robins does next !
after he very publicly stated that the last mauling by Forest was the most Embarrassing performance of his managerial career to date...phew..
There'll be changes then.

I for one ain't interested in any text book solutions, coaching manual applications & the like, I want to see a Cavalier, caution to the wind approach, Attack formation being the order of the day, & then attack some more.
I hope this new guy intends to use ALL the pitch,
& insist on back up play, & unselfish runs,
movement at throw ins, And runners moving in at 'pace' to connect with cross' from corners.
But that's just me.

I don't think I will be alone in requesting Bennett for the Keepers Jersey .
Woods & Dixon to take the full back positions,
Atkinson isn't ready.. Hunt to play wide & forward,
Scannell to take the other side,
Arfield looking to slip the ball through for Vaughan & Novak to run onto..
Lynch to make up the back.....................3 !
Soz Skip ! You're OUT.

This lot are there for the taking, to any side how have the balls to attack them....
Over to you Mr Robins.

Huddersfield Town 3-0 Ipswich.
11,109.
(ht - 1-0)
Vaughan 2
Danns.

Pub recommendations for the Tractor boys... Phah !
I hope they have cactus on their tongues ...
Sat nav advice... Not needed, A Tractor wouldn't make it in time.

Bernard the Ipswich fan is walking past his mate Edgars barn...
Edgar is in there with his TRACTOR....talking to it !
Then he starts a gig, twirling & swirling, threw his cap off,
slipped out of his overalls, dropped his 'jocks'....
Bernard had had enough & bust in through the door !
'Hell fire Edgar, what the fork are you doing stripping off in front of your Tractor' !!!
Edgar explained... "Well it be like this you see, Me & her indoors have been 'avin a lot-a trouble see...in the bedroom like, So vee owld Doctor reckons I should do Samfin sexy to a Tractor'....................

Cut me some slack fellas,
I've knocked this up asap.....
& Kept it clean with no 4 king foul language what so ever....
Thanks,
By your mate Darn

Dean Hoyle is a legend and always will be to me. He's done so much for the club in the past few years and people shouldn't forget that. One bad season doesn't define an era.

We have the squad to compete at this level, it's the players have let Dean Hoyle, the club and fans down as far as i'm concerned.

blackburn will have to pay their "football debts" or they lose the golden ticket...they then have to pay the vat or they will be closed down... we will get paid, might take a bit but it has to be paid..
all the millions they owe outside "the game" will end up down the sh-tter though..
the pitch was the same for both sides and what little football was played was played by us..
It was a game that called for a bit of "bravery" from robbins and he failed the first test...
tuesday night was and is important because its the next game whatever the wolves result today.. being slightly less poor than 3 other clubs isnt a "strategy" is a disaster waiting to happen..its what grayson ended up relying on..

if blackburn go into administration they then do a deal with hmrc and debts usually get paid at 10p per pound owed

we will get virtually fook all if blackburn dont go up and the venkys do 1

steve kean said at the time when he bought rhodes that if they didnt go up this time they would at least have to sell him

lets hope they do before the sheite hits the fan!

pompey had millions of debt all which will never get paid

hmrc will never shut a famous football club down and will always strive to cut a deal even if it means creditors get 10p in the pound

Well that makes Hoyle more of a fool for not gettin all the money up front .

pompey have had to pay every debt owed to another football club or to a player..
football debts have to be paid first..
they owe millions but not to other football clubs or to any player.. we owed smith 125k when we got in the sh-t..he got every single penny, albeit in instalments but he had to be paid every penny in a "reasonable amount of time" as stipulated by the football league or we would have lost our "share"...

Aren’t the players and the squad the same thing... or am I missing something here?

Waltz

As 38 Years indicates transfer fees are 'football creditors' and in the event Blackburn went bust anyone buying the club out of insolvency would need to honour these in full even though HMCR etc end up getting squat.

This is reinforced by the FA who would not agree to the transfer of the golden share to a new owner unless football creditors are transferred to the new company - they will control official receipts of the club to ensure it happens.

The only way Town wouldn't get the full transfer fee agreed is if legislation is introduced which prohibits the preferential status of football creditors. Parliament has actually been considering this via a recent Parliamentary Select Committee - their reasoning is why should the taxpayer (us) miss out on what is due to us because clubs choose to pay each other over inflated fees for players.

It is hard to argue with that logic although it doesn't mean any legislation will be passed. It may apply not apply to existing protected sums if it was.

Blackburn of course may not go bust and pay the installments as scheduled!

Uncle, what i'm saying is the squad has the ability and talent within to compete comfortably at this level, but they are not playing to their level and therefore letting us down.
