With Dundee looking for a new manager does anyone else think it could be a bad time to draw them in the cup? Look at what McNamara has done for United in his short time in charge(admittedly with a overall better squad). Fingers crossed that new management syndrome doesn't get united kicked out the cup !!!

Expect Utd to hump them but wouldn't be surprised if Dundee got a result. Often happens in situations like this. It can't all be doom and gloom for Dundee this season and this may well be their highlight.

Sorry but I really can't see Dundee getting anything out of this game. They're weak in every area, and as long as we've got Daly in defence at the moment we're looking fine.
Rab Douglas was touted as a possible Barry Smith replacement in the paper this morning. That would be amazing.

2-0 is a very bold prediction given Uniteds firepower at present, not many teams will be able to stem Russell Armstrong, Daly and of course GMS. Our main concern is still defence but I saw we have a new defender on trial so lets hope that works out. On the other hand when Daly is played at the back our frontline is a lot more mobile. I was in London for the Sound City Players gig on Tuesday so only saw the match highlights but on any other day we could of had 4 or 5 goals due mainly to the interplay of Russell and GMS, so maybe keep Daly in defence and just let him up for corners and free kicks?

I'm still optimistic were still on enough of a high ourselves to see them off, but nothing is guarenteed in football. I didn't see St Mirren firing Celtic out but it happened. I wouldn't be taking the game lightly but there will also be a large noisy arab army there too might make the difference, if need be
