Got into an argument with some of our gooner counterparts as I claimed Scholes has greater vision and technical ability than Bergkamp. The only area of the game in which Bergkamp could possibly claim to have the edge is close control. In everything else, Scholes far exceeds him. You need only listen to Zidane, Edgar Davids, Figo, ronaldinho and so many others and their praise for him to realise that Paul Scholes at the peak of his powers was on another level entirely.
Anyway I'd like to put it to a vote:
5 stars for Scholes
1 Star for Bergkamp

Man Utd logic:
Bergkamp gets voted 3rd best player in the world in both 1993 & 1997 by managers, PFA player in 1997 by his peers but its irrelevant cos u cant judge a player on individual honours!
Scholes gets lauded by a few of his peers and that means he's better
