Mavies out till Christmas?

According to the Mirror Mark Davies has done his cruciate ligament and is expected to be out for the next 9 month.Nothing on the Bolton News site yet so hopefully it's wide of the mark.

Wouldn't surprise me. Usually the injuries caused by no contact are the worst.

Real shame, but we do have adequate midfield cover in regards to numbers. Holden will be available, Medo will be around, Pratley is versatile and an play anywhere and Vela should be knocking on the door, obviously with Spearing there already too.

It's a big loss, he is a good player, but our team should be able to adapt.

Its one in one out at the moment

Will we ever see holden and mavies play together?

if this is true its a big blow, we didn't look the same team we he went off on Tuesday. He is the only midfielder who can take on defenders and and makes things happen.

His best position is where he played the other night, just behind the front two with a free role, we dont have anyone else who can do this as well as he can.

Confirmed by the club the he's out for up to 10 months.

Gutted, whether or not you believe we can make the play offs, it's going to be a much taller order without him.

It's not just we get more than our fair share of long-term injuries. They are also to our better players!!!!

Holden, Lee, Muamba, Wheater and now Mavies. So much now rests on how quickly Holden can find match sharpness.

It's a blow but unlike with Holden we now have a squad to deal with it.

Massive blow.

Don't think Holden is anywhere near ready yet.

Medo might be the saviour.

DF is quoted today saying he expects Eagles to fill the role!!

If Eagles can find his early season form then he is more than capable of filling the role!!

this is a massive massive blow more so for next season.its always our best player-holden,lee,maviess never someone expendable.eagles not in the same class as mavies but probably best option we have in that role.would that work though eagles behind front 2 in a 4-1-3-2 formation?
