Bates stated that we wanted to sign 2 midfielders who were " rather good" by the end of the weekend, and nothing has come of it yet.
Why come out and say it if you can't back your words up with action.

Remember the explosion of activity that was promised to us more than a month ago...
Seems like Bates is keeping something from the fans. We were close to signing some very good players a month ago. Where did they go then?

You're just bashing Bates because you realise with an unbeaten pre season there's nothing else to have a go at.

And did Bates give a time on when that week started, because if he said it last Monday then times running thin, but if he said it last Thursday then maybe there still in the pipe line!.

Im not picking something to moan about, most of my posts back Grayson, never liked Bates.
Just think if our hush hush approach is the way to go, then Bates should not say a word until the deal is done.
Plus 6 games unbeaten in pre season does not mean a thing. You don't play you first 11 week in week out, neither does everyone else. Nice to see but not a big factor when the season starts.
