Starting XI this season

So i think we can assume our transfer activity is all but concluded now Bouhenna has signed, with the possible exception of Giles Barnes although i cant see it happening. My point being, everyone fit, what would your first choice starting XI be?

I think defence and attack are fairly straight forward in my head with only the issue of Brown or Hayter to partner Billy.

The Midfield however i am stumped, does Stocky get in the starting XI when he is fit? Keegan, Copps, Bennett, Bexendale, Gillet, Oster, Wilson, Mason, Stock and Woods. 10 in total, 4(probably) spots, Barnes would make 11 were he to sign.... who do you pick?

From the friendlies it sounds like Bennett is doing well, but I only have the match reports to go by as i haven't been able to make it to any of the games.

Over to you...

Woods

Muzzy Naylor Friend Spurr

Oster

Copps Bennett

Mason

Sharp Hayter

Subs
Sully
O'connor
Gillett
Wilson
Brown

This would be my team at the minute, not including the likes of Stocky, M Woods, Keegan etc who are all injured. But we have a lot of options in the middle of the park which is always good. I think Gillett has had a storming pre season and is unlucky not to get in my starting 11.

At The Moment I think:

-------------G. Woods------------------

Dumbuya---Naylor---Friend---Spurr

---------------Gillett------------------

Copps-----------------------Bennett

---------------Oster--------------------

------------------Mason---------------
---------------Sharp-------------------

Subs:
Sully
Hird
Wilson
Brown
Hayter

I see Hayter being the super sub this season (don't know why)!
And as Stock, M. Woods, Keegan, Martis, Lockwood, Chambers and JOC are still injured! To say we've still got a bit of an Injury crisis, you can still make a half-decent team!

Do like the look of that one meady, i'd be tempted to drop Mason back to Attacking Mid, take oster out and have Hayter up supporting Sharp though.

Here's a sort of negative comment. I really don't know, especially in the midfield, but this is because there are several unknown quantities in there as well as a lack of knowledge of who is playing well and which combinations work.

I did think that Brown would be there more or less permanently as a target man which we sorely lacked last season, but it seems kind of unfair to sacrifice Hayter whom I think would benefit from having Brown alongside him just like Sharp will.

However what we most definitely have this time is a greater range of options. SOD will be able to much better shape his team according to the occasion. Last season he did not have horses for courses; the horses were always the same ones which had to adapt to different courses.

So I look forward to observing the strengths and variations that we can muster out of our bigger pool of talent and hope that the new permutations will prosper.

I think some of these are very good, but it all depends on what happened today in the closed doors game against Huddersfield. Giles Barnes would be an excellent choice and Rowan Vine has featured very well so far.

I tweeted football heaven tonight regarding Giles Barnes and Seth said he would ask SOD on Thursday and let fans know so tune in then
