Chich to miss first few games

With our Little Pea set to miss the start of the season, it will be interesting to see who will get the nod to start alongside Wazza

Berba will be gutted if Owen gets in ahead of him again just like he beat him to the bench at Wembley but Owen's game is more familiar to Chich's game than Berba's is.

Also after impressing on tour, Nani imho should start on the right

I'm guessing this for Wembley

De Gea
Fab
Rio
Vida
Evra
Nani
Carrick
Ando
Young
Rooney
Owen

Subs
Berba
Lindegaard
Smalling
Rafa
Valencia
Cleverley
Jones

Berbatov deserves a chance more than anyone, how he did not play in the CL final was a mystery to me

Anyone else think that Lindegaard might start off the season in goal? With De Gea's age it might be a bit much to throw him in at the deep end so early on, and especially as we're likely to have to endure an aerial assault at West Brom, something which he won't be used to. Lindegaard also looked very capable on the tour.

Not having Smalling at least on the bench would be a huge kick in the teeth for him after performing so well last season

If we went with that team, I put only two strikers on the bench and drop Macheda for Smalling

To be fair I think both Valencia and Nani should start, and Welbeck too

Anyone think De Gea looked a little dodgy vs Barca - didnt have much to do and his handling was top notch but his kicking and distribution quite poor - seemed to kick it long very often which is rare for him as he usually recycles it - whether it was a tactic against barcas high pressing game i dont know?

I was on the United site earlier looking to find out that very thing.

Nothing been said as far as I know but I've just got back from Mallorca so may have missed something
