Does well in pre-season and dropped once a keeper comes in straight away.
Doesnt look like two keepers are challenging for first team spot to me. A clear No 1/No 2.
Not saying a bad thing but must lower morale for the lad
Wonder what Rachubka is thinking

Making threads like this just gives the pro-Grayson brigade ammunition.
Lonergan is the better keeper, he should be number one. Try focusing on players like White, Bruce and Lees who are clearly down the pecking order.
And why do people pretend that David Lucas was rubbish? Macca only played him because of the 4-0 win over Palace which made it impossible for him to drop anybody, and he was actually man of the match for a couple of games.

Lucas had many faults though. His height was one of them, not that he could help it. He was well below 6ft. Ankegren was clearly the better keeper.

I thought he was about 6ft2.
Barthez is 5ft9, it didn't stop him winning the World Cup.
Ankergren was the better keeper which was why he regained his place.
It was Grayson who dropped Ankergren for an unfit Higgs.

it was also who reinstated ankergren when he first came too!
