...What HAS happened to the mighty Aussies then? Banning their own players for not saying how dire they were in the 2nd test!

"If Watson retires, that has to be your weakest batting line up for years!"

Since before I was born, easily the weakest batting line up I have ever seen for Australia, very scary indeed.

In all seriousness, Clarke has made one big mistake because his decisons will not help anyone or anything. He clearly is trying to show he is the boss, but clearly does not have the ability to control the team, if they are not listening to his or the coaches instructions.

These guys are seasoned professionals and should be dealt with in that manner. Not I'm not going to play you because you are not listening to me. This is not school.

And, quite clearly Clarke's decison has backfired because now someone like Watson is now contemplating whether to continue playing Test cricket or not. But at the end of the day he is the skipper, it's his decison, but if they end up continuing to lose to India and end up losing the first Ashes series. He will look pretty stupid.

Considering the brains in Afridi's head (or the lack of), I wonder how long he's been on the drugs?

if you recall the KP saga last year, the advice from the Aussies was "we would sort it out as a team over a few beers". Or stumbling along with foot firmly lodged in gob

Mathew Hoggard was on the BBC talking about this and gave the best quote i've seen so far on the whole saga

"I know Shane Watson and he is not the sharpest tool in the shed. Getting him to write things out and put them in front of the coach is not going to be his strong point."

australia arent helping themselves. since losing the ashes in 2011, lets analyse their performance:
they started improving, showed that they could give england a good challenge after managing to nearly beat SA in the last series they played. then came the retirement of ponting and hussey.

And now they are in a spot of bother. Clarke will soon run out of form, and from the looks that will come when they are playing the ashes. excluding clarke, the other members would have barely played 80 tests combined.

They really need to sort out their batting to say the least as that looks like the weakest australian batting line up. even weaker than the one that lost 3-1 to the english team

This is becoming a joke beyond a joke too many now. This is what the aussie coach has said today regarding the farce

"We'll look back on it in a couple of years' time when we're back to number one in the world and say [it] was a defining moment," Arthur said.

Aussie will be number 1 in a couple of years ... and elephants will fly and the sky will turn pink.
