I'd love a player of his ability at United, but I would cringe at his behaviour.

I can see your point as im sure you can see mine i dont think either of us are either blind to what he does wrong or the fact that he recieves an unfair level of criticism compared to others at times..

my point is there is some middle ground and as much as either side of the fence dont want to believe that.. and the media knows it doesnt sell papers..

he isnt as well behaved or as bnadly behaved as either side wopuld have me beleive..but then ive always liked to form my own opinions

I dont defend him when i eblieve him to do soemthing wrong but i do point out when the idiot who wrote this article did so within 24 hours of writing the other..

he is the prem's best player ... and its biggest panto villan.. thats why he gets more focus than others..

Im the same..i dislike and cringe at the diving and rolling around... however i like the fight he has in him..makes him a winner.. and when you mention cantona we all know he had that in him..

Giving parker a kick after he went in late on him... fine by me...

think is Torres had some of that fight on sunday like he used to he would have caused Rio a lot more problems... like he used to ,

Prems best player? Highly debatable.

But if that were true, why don't the RVP's of this world get similar stick?

Surely you must accept that there's an element of this where his character is worse than a lot of other players?

I just think it's too easy to say that there are other players who are guilty... I genuinely believe he's one of the worst.

The kick against Parker was last season (I think) in the penalty area - absolute shocker! He quickly made out that he was going for the ball, which he blatantly wasn't!

Cant think of any better.. ?? to make it highly debatable?

its between one of the top 3 and Bale has onyl done it since xmas and RVP has stopped scoring and Suarez has more goals and assits over the season than RVP ...?

Im not saying there isnt an element of his character that allows this but i think your mention of Cantona makes me think that is his closest comparasion.. had a reputation, had a violent streak, great footballer but never far from controversy...

Dont remeber the kick on parkwer..but again we go back to last season to give examples, which again links to my point that he is improved....

Cantona deserved his reputation - he was violent.

I think Suarez deserves his reputation too.

Sorry, but he kicked out on Sunday... hardly the definition of improvement. Most players can get through a season without taking a swipe at another player!

Rio cant and we again come back to my orignal point.. he is judged much harsher than other players and you say he deserves that i say you should take each incident on its merit..

as i said there is a grey area...

for me Rio's is worse as Suarez kicks out during play when in the midst of a challenge.. ferdinand knows the abll is gone and knows the ref isnt looking..

And when was the last time Rio kicked, stamped on or bit a player?

Of course players are treated on their history.

Think about Ronaldo diving. You as a Liverpool fan would be more likely to complain about him diving than you would someone who did a one off dive.

It's just normal behaviour!

He wasn't banned because you know a referee assistant, no wait...a player, no wait...a referee assessor, no wait...you're in fact a referee.
