I thought defensively you guys were at the races tonight- normally I expect to see an Arsenal backline fold like a pack of cards but they looked like they got it together tonight so credit to them for that.
If you had just had a bit more quality up front I think Bayern might have been put out tonight.
Giroud was dreadful tonight- he scored but I felt his overall contribution to the team was minimal. He gave away cheap fouls, didnt hold up the ball or win it in the air and his performance was summed up by his 45 yard volley into the stand with teamates breaking into promising positions.
What is the deal with Giroud? He seems to score every now and then but every time I've seen him he's been anonymous?

Good players score even when they're not playing well

Wtf, were you watching Blackburn vs Millwall or something? He won almost everything in the air, started a large part of our moves by doing so. His 40-yarder was very frustrating, but don't let that make you ignore his general play.

Someday, don't bother man.
If Giroud scored a hattrick tonight, people would claim he didn't score a hattrick.
I'm surprised people aren't denying that he actually scored tonight.

He has a lot to learn from Madzukic forgive the spelling, he is a monster in holding up play and also can defend.

Anybody else think Bayern KNEW it was in the bag and toyed half heartedly with Arsenal, yeah they lost 2-0 but were already 3-1 up! Stank like a training game and Bayern KNEW they could score if they had to/if they wanted to! Fair play the score makes it look close but in reality
