Ballot and Chubbings

This week I've unfortunately been informed that i've missed out in the ballot for Sunderland away and West Ham away. So far this seaosn i've been successful in only one ballot - QPR. I've managed to get to Wigan away, West away (FA Cup) and Fulham away courtesy of friends and, in the case of West Ham, a tout.

Considering that I apply for every single away, and the last time i didn't apply for an away game was about 4 years ago, I think it's pretty poor or unlucky that I've only been successful in one ballot this season. I was just interested in seeing how anyone else on here gets on in the ballots or is it continuous chubbings for the majority here too?

My mate who doesn't go to away games has applied for every away game apart from Everton this season for me with his season ticket and nothing.

I would personally consider one away game a great success tbh.

There are people I've heard who've only been successful once or twice in a ballot in 6-7 years.

I've heard similar stories but i'm always sceptical. People who have gone 6 years without an away tickets cannot possibly be applying for every single away game. Most likely they apply for a hand full each season and don't get any then complain: "i haven't had one in x amount of years and i apply for every one". Don't believe it myself, but who's to say...

It's impossible to get away tickets. Hard enough as a one united member to get tickets for a half decent game, which considering I had a season ticket for 9 years I find pretty annoying.

Just waiting to hear how big our allocation is going to be for Chelsea and waiting to see whether it's been cut due to the 3 idiots at the other games at Stamford Bridge this season.

Hopefully we do get the full allocation which is rumoured to be around 6,300.
