CELTIC Football Club today, Monday, released the following statement.
‘The safety and well-being of Celtic supporters is of paramount importance to the Club. The Club is very concerned to see imagery of Saturday’s march by members of the Green Brigade from Gallowgate to Celtic Park, and subsequent claims by supporters of police harassment and heavy-handed policing.
This is an issue which the Club takes very seriously. Once again we would urge any supporter who feels that they have been a victim of such harassment to contact the Club with details by using the following email addressesfansagainstcriminalisation@gmail.com and operations@celticfc.co.uk in order that we can formally raise such matters with Strathclyde Police.
We should remind supporters that the Club has set up a working group, which is independently chaired, to establish a Complaints Review Panel to oversee the complaints’ process and improve transparency. Any suggestion of collusion between the Club and Strathclyde Police is, quite frankly, ludicrous.
The Celtic support has a long and well-established reputation for good behaviour and everyone is very proud of that and keen to ensure that it continues. In the meantime we will be writing to the Chief Constable to ask for a full report on Saturday’s events.

GB are a bunch of silly wee neds, yes they create an atmosphere and can be quite funny at times but they are also bring shame on the club with some of the songs and actions. The poppy day farce was one such pathetic venture.I unfortunately used to sit in Block 111 just round from the numptys and they were rightly booed and jeered by the real hoops fans around me for their ridiculous political posturing that day.

I think it's a pretty poor statement from Celtic. It wasn't just Green Brigade members who were at the receiving end, it was all sections of our support.
"any suggestion of collusion between the club and Strathclyde police, is quite frankly, ludicrous" - that's a blatant lie

"I think it's a pretty poor statement from Celtic" actually, one of the reasons I don't go to Celtic Park more often is because of the nyaffs.
Between the GB with their (often) droning, boring, listless chants, their 'drummer' who CANNOT drum and the others smoking, standing and giving you a hard time when you object - frankly I've better things to do and better company to do it in.
The only thing the polis did wrong was not lift more of them.

The GB i think in the next year or two will be gone from parkhead, the police are on a gender
to get rid of them and Celtic football club have been quiet on this, now saturday i wasnt there but my wee cusion was and he said the police were well over the top.
The problem is I dont think the GB dont help themselves but am i a hypocrit because i love it when they get parkhead bouncing but wish to god they would cut the political bull
anyway like i said give another year or toodont think they will be at parkhead

I dont see much wrong with what they have done lately.
Their political stunts dont impress me but recently this hasnt been an issue, they have been respectful.
The treatment of them is shocking, celtic are happy to sell tshirts with things the green brigade helped introduce such as a whole stadium huddle and just cant get enough. They are also happy to take credit for that atmosphere.
Those videos at the weekend were nothing short of disgusting. 5 police to take down a 14 year old boy.
Pathetic
