Huddersfield Town 0 Hull City 1

Category A* game (the highest on the Clibbens scale)
Kilner £29 and £20 for seniors

This game is 'All Ticket'

Kick off 5:20pm (and Live on Sky TV for the armchair brigade)

Town finally get permission to host a live Sky game on our own soil, despite WY Polices' attempts to scupper it.

Hull City fans are boycotting this game in protest at the restrictions imposed upon them and have sold about 400 of their reduced allocation of 1,700 tickets.

Both clubs needs points, with Hull City being 2nd and Town 16th in the table.

The game sees the return of Steve Bruce, Alex Bruce (booo) and George Boyd (bigger booo)..

Hulls' away record is Pld 19 W9 D3 L7 For 23 Agnst 26

They have lost only once away from home to a team outside the top 8, that being Blackburn back in August.......

Recent form though sees Hull 10th to Towns 8th over the past 6 games, so maybe the pressure is beginning to tell on the Tigers

Hulls' last 5 games have produced 2 wins and 3 defeats, one of those a 1-4 thrashing at Bolton and another a 2-4 thrashing at Palace...so they look ripe for a good mullering...especially as last time out they lost at home to Notts Forest.

Towns record against the current top 8 is nothing to write home about though, with just one win in 14 attempts, and a few very bad defeats which I'll gloss over.

Saturday's game will be the 24th visit by Hull, with Town winning 12 and drawing 4 of the previous encounters. Last time here, Hull were smashed to pieces by Town 4-0, albeit 9 years ago. ....

Hull City's leading scorers are Koren 8, Aluko 8 and Simpson 6...Aluko is injured though, along with Paul McShane..

Interestingly, Hull are the 2nd cleanest team in the Championship having committed a mere 334 fouls (Town 386).. 45 yellow cards (Town 66) and No red cards (Town 4).

Also interestingly (I know you like this stuff)... Hull have the 3rd best shooting record in the Championship , with 234 shots on target (Town 157), 229 shots off target (Town 169) and 13 that hit the metalwork (Town 8).

You won't be surprised to hear Town have the worst record for shots in the entire Championship..........

For all the stats though, Hull have scored less goals than any other team in the top 6, with a mere 55...that's only 15 more than Town...

The Easter weekend might sort out the shakers and movers in the relegation dog fight. On Friday Blackburn play Blackpool while Bristol City are at Derby, then on Saturday Sheff Wed host Barnsley, Ipswich host L**ds and Peebro host high flying Cardiff...

Match prediction?
-------------------------

Town got totally roasted at the KCS back in December, Hull pretty much strolled through the game with 58% possession, Town didn't even muster a single shot on goal..so we got to get at them a bit more.

One feature of our past 3 games has been the vast increase in shots we're having, 35 in total with 22 of those on target....a impressive stat that one...and if only we'd beaten Charlton ...damn it

I'm going to stick my neck out and say Town will win 3-1.

I think the 2 week break will have enabled Robins to get hold of the lads, get in their heads and sort out the weaknesses we've had.

Attendance ?
------------------
I'd say about 12,000 for this, top prices, live on Sky...
Actual attendance...11,997...

Team news...to follow
------------------------------

Referee: Darren Deadman
--------------------------------------

Deadman refereed Town on 7 previous ocassions, 4 times at the JSS.
The last time though was at MK Dons in the play offs when Town won 2-0
Under Deadman Town have won 3 Drawn 3 and Lost 1
He was also ref for our play off game at home to Millwall (0-0) and the game at Hillsborough which finshed 4-4.

Couldn't agree more wethers. For a team lacking so much confidence those results today have not helped one bit. Tuesday will be exactly the same unfortunately.

Town are now in a real scrap! Same old story, can't score, can't keep a clean sheet. It's getting to the sticky end of the season and Town are flirting with the drop zone.

Has Robins made an impact? No! Will Grayson have sorted things out? Doubtful! Will Deano be looking to move on? Maybe!

The lads have to show real spirit to maintain the objective and stay up. Come on Town, give us something to be proud of!

Morning chaps and happy Easter

What feckin time is it btw?

How charitable is this btw........... One of the lads that did the London to the JSS CHARITY BIKE RIDE yesterday sits behind me.

17:10 arrives and Htafc had only gone and sold his season ticket/reserved seats! Luckily he was sat in the riverside for the day.

The two old dears that sat in his seats couldn't believe it! All those empty seats and they sell his!

Just about sums up our "family club."

clocks forward one hour...did you remember...?

The only glimmer of hope we have on the horizon..after the Bolton game..is that we have it in our own hands by playing all the bottom teams in our final games.

Bristol City look as if they have gone
then you can perm any 2 from 12 with 5 points separating them...in fact I don't think Derby and Leeds are actually safe yet...

So it's down the 7 games.

Despite yesterdays' shambles, Town are 9th in the Form tables...trouble is Bolton are 4th, Peebro 3rd and Wolves 6th...our next 3 games..

But, as we know...it's about 'momentum'....and Town don't have any....and while we haven't lost back to back league games since early December..we haven't won back to back games since October..

I still think 53 points will be enough to stay up...but if I were Robins...I'd be aiming for 56 now....3 wins from 7 games...

For me, that's got to be wins against Peebro, Wolves and Blackburn....

I'ts 'official'.

darn's done &dusted with this rubbish.
Made the phone call...'I'm not going to Bolton', The reply was, "Good decision , I wish I hadn't already bought my ticket for the game, because I wouldn't be going either after that shy't"

For me, I was we'll peaced off with home game against the 's. & v Hull there was no difference let alone any improvement .
I don,t like the football,
The admissions are a robbing JOKE.
And I feel alienated as to how the club is being run.

To those blaming the 'ref'....?
The pitch......?

You've lost it

Aye up Darn, I met a guy from Oz yesterday before the game. Can you believe they weren't going to let him buy a ticket for the match because he wasn't on the database!

I feel guilty now because I offered to at first buy the ticket for him and then advised him how to bend the rules to buy a ticket.

Do you think he'll forgive me and will you let me into Oz in future despite my misplaced advice to the poor chap who had to part with £29 to watch that.

Wakey.
I've told you before in the past.
If you are ever out 'there' for the cricket at the W.A.C.A.
I'll only be a 'ja 606' message away .

Re- can I believe they wouldn't let him in (the club)....
yeah, That fits 'The Family club' deception that this draconian mob under the guise of 'HTFC-inc' operates as.

Also, here's the crunch Wakey! 'We don't 'have' to pay £29 quid to watch, That ridiculous situation is entirely in OUR hands.
Beckford no effort.
Alan Lee dressed like some freak show girl...on massive wages
Robins 'Game plan'???? (WHAT)
performances not worthy of amature local level at times.
Clibbs 'corporate' replies to Jacko confirming he has no emotional tie to Huddersfield Town FC, he collects 'a wage' nothing more.

Town don't want the likes of me as a fan anymore.
I'm ok with that,
I'll come back when It's right for ME.
I suspect more than me are thinking along the same lines.

darn..
they have already lost £1600 next season..
I am not buying my usual 5 tickets...we will pick and choose games to see, dependant on how the team is doing..
No more "town till I die, however they f-ck up the club and the team"...
I no longer wish to sit in a "family stadium" bereft of any atmosphere and with kids moaning and kicking seats or running up and down.. My kids are all too old now to get the benefits of free admission and face painting, we have paid our dues and it seems we can now "f-ck off" for the board....
If deano truly is a fan , he must have been badly advised on the "future", because its not kids, they have more things to do than at anytime in history, the future dean is trying like f-ck during hard times to "KEEP WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE" and don't lose them, then try to build the fanbase when times are a bit better..
The sight of a football ground at night under floodlights "amazed me" when I was 6/7 years old, it does not have the same "pulling power" on the kids anymore, they have seen it on widescreen tv/3d tv in dolby digital sound long before being brought to a match due to a large discount/free entrance...
Deano, aim to keep us, the silly sods who always turn up(but that's changing)...
