I was looking at the Segunda Division table in Spain (2nd division).

Barcelona's B team is currently 8th, 2 positions outside the playoffs for promotion into La Liga. What happens if they finish in the playoff positions? Are they allowed to get promoted to La Liga when they would obviously roll over for the 1st team whenever they meet? Has anything like this ever happened in Spain before?
Barcelona B in La Liga?

look like Modric,
I like that system too. They do it in Germany I believe.

I think it's a decent system, like any there are positives and negatives with it. But it gives clubs the chance to guarantee their young players games in a competitive league, giving them more chance to develop.
I prefer it to loaning tbh, we often send young players out to other clubs and they get hardly any playing time. Obviously there are exceptions, but I wouldn't be against having a B side in the lower leagues. Though there is the issue of B sides taking up the places of a few lower league teams. There'd have to be a proper reform.

What if the B team gets relegated, do they still stay in same division or do they actually get relegated?

No they can't go up, but we all know who can- the Mighty Villarreal.
There will be a Promotion Party scheduled on the Villarreal board.

that's silly - they should be allowed to promote up - if they are in the competition then they should reap the rewards from their success. Somebody write up a petition to Obama over this

it would be awkward if they got promoted and had to play against the senior team they will throw the game that's 6 points guarenteed
