To be safe in the Championship you need to get a point per game then probably a few more, 50 should be ok, 52 should be guaranteed. So were on 47 points and played 39 games, yeah we're well on course, we should be comfortable. 4 points from 2 games over easter, brilliant well done lads, were looking good......hang on a minute.........we could be 2nd bottom tonight.

They called for his head after taking them from a top 10 premiership team to a championship team in thee space of over 18 months, I think the fans have every right to hound him out, esp as he
a) Signed players without ever seeing them play
b) Subjected fans to weekly horror shows both on and off the feild with inept interviews and poor performances from a very confused and downbeat set of players.
Also, theres a conspiracy regarding Steve Keans involvement with Blackburn, have a read of this and make up your own mind

I understand that fans were disgruntled as he took them down, I wont deny that but my point is that they hounded him out when he had them 3rd in the Championship. Their objective for this season would be to get Blackburn back in the Premiership and steve keane had them in a great position to achieve that.
a) He didnt sign players without seeing them play, the owners did.
b) Subjected fans to weekly horror shows? 3rd in the league? wow, Id welcome that type of horror at S6 anyday!
Conspiracy - dear god

Yes they were 3rd but look how early it was in the season and judging by comments from Blackburn fans on here it sounds like it was only a matter of time before their luck would run out...and look where they are now, I think they would STILL be in this position now even if Kean was still in charge!
Reagarding the conspiracy, well Blackburn fans wouldnt agree, I think thats the type of ingorance from non-Blackburn fans that Blackburn fans have come to expect, not saying that the conspiracy is true but theres definately something fishy about sacking big sam when they were (i think) in the top half of the table and looking good, only to replace him with someone with no managerial experience & no nouce tactics wise, go on a winless two month run a year later then offer him a bumper new contract...now correct me if Im wrong but if you were plowing millions into your club and you had a manager who had zero support from fans, leading the team on a terrible run, you wouldnt "offer"the manager a lucrative new contract would you
Also, he DID sign players himself, yes they were "recommended" by Shebby Singh but it was him who agreed to sign these players without even looking at them first, if it was me I would have said, "ok, lets give them a weeks trial, I'll have a good luck and see where they would fit in and see if they are good enough" not sign them anyway
There is DEFINATELY something more to this than you might think Poite in all fairness. Just my opinion

So exactly like sacking a manager who has you in 3rd then. Thanks for proving my point.

Since retiring from playing Kean has worked as a coach for Reading, Fulham, Real Sociedad and Coventry City, working as an assistant to Chris Coleman at Fulham, Real Sociedad and Coventry.[4]
In June 2008, it was reported that Kean was in talks with Chelsea to become assistant manager to Luiz Felipe Scolari.[4] Kean's fluency in Portuguese from his playing days was believed to be a key reason for Chelsea's interest.[4]
On 4 August 2009, Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce appointed Kean as his new first team coach. Kean replaced Karl Robinson who returned to Milton Keynes Dons. Allardyce commented that he had received numerous applications for the first team coaching position and Kean "stood out above the rest through his personality, experience and knowledge of football at the highest level"

So, throughout all this nobody at anyone of those clubs and not one of those managers who wanted Kean noticed that Steve Kean was 'connected with pretty serious Glasgow criminals'
I hear he was also the true mastermind behind the 911 attacks as well as hes also 'connected with pretty serious international terrorist networks'

PLEASE NOTE: My last comment was made in jest and I am in no way actually implying Steve Kean had/or has anything to do with any form of international terrorism.

Well der
There is a HUGE difference between a Manager and a coach, a coach gets players trained up and puts them through their paces and a manager oversee's everything and picks the teams and has his own individual way of beating teams, Kean didnt, it seems he just picked an 11 and hoped for the best...for me never has been and (hopefully for any teams sakes) never will be a manager again!
