The simple task is as follows...

Our best hope to finish in the top 4 above Chelsea is;
To match their results, beat them at the bridge and score at least 3 more than them in those games Obviously if they drop points the scenario changes.

Our best hope to finish in the Top 4 above Arsenal is;
To match their results and win our game in hand against Chelsea which would take us to 1 point ahead of them. Of course if Arsenal were to lose one of the other 5 remaining games Spurs would have to match result wise, and we were to win one of them, we could afford to lose to Chelsea at the bridge.

I'm off to Barca for a lads booze up on the 8th of May, (which I heard is the confirmed date for the Chelsea game to be replayed?) going with a couple of Chelsea fans and land an hour before K.O. , could determine how our trip goes

Hopefully with key players coming back for at least the last 5 game run in results will favor us, but it is important for them to hit the ground running.
If Ade ever does anything good for Spurs again, I pray for the love of god, it's the winner against Chelsea that secures us Top 4. I will then personally pick up the lazy fudger and carry him to which ever club is stupid enough to take him.

I think Hudd has earned a start after the impact he has had in the last two games

----

impact...YES.

but in the last 20/25 mins of games where teams are tired/sit off...and he's given plenty of time......

Parker has been good at what Parker does....but he often slows everything down and when the forward line consists of Sigurdsson, Ade, Dempsey, slowing things down gives the opposition a chance to reorganise and then we'll never break them down!

Despite Parkers engine, he is often the most advanced of the CMs AND its not as if we are not letting goals in or conceding chances.

AVB likes the pressure on in the CM with a high line but that isn't really working all the time

We'll never agree on this - I can't stand Parker and rate Hudd and you are the polar opposite

Definitely the opposite on that one mate

For me, Hudd should be on the bench at most. He's too cumbersome, offers little to the team apart from an occasional nice pass. My days over liking Hudd as a 1st teamer are over.

It's like deja vu with Hudd....same arguments as 4yrs ago.

Too fat. Can't play in a two. Doesn't offer enough. Luxury.

Weren't with me HRH I've only gone off Hudd since last year. It's not even about luxury, for me offers little to our game.

Just like some think Parker is not right for Spurs when some of us do

How can you go off someone who has spent virtually the whole time injured?

The mind boggles....I must watch a different game if Parker and Livermore are treasures we should keep while the best passer at the club is surplus

If AVB is brave and drops Parker I think we will do it. If he starts I see us falling short

Agreed, I want to see Holtby alongside Dembele - he loves a tackle and can spray the ball around. Sunday may be a bit of a gamble, but I think that's where we'll see him in the end.

I really want tom carroll to play, but would settle for holtby alongside parker. for me dembele is the weak link in the team (except for ade).

btw, I see everton as a serious contender for a top 4 spot.

BLB

I'd happily settle for Holtby. Parker does what Parker does - lots of effort without offering anything above average with the ball. He is easily the worst CM in possession at any of the CL chasing clubs, and you'd probably have to go down to the lower half to find worse.

To compound it, he isn't even doing what he should - protecting the back four and filling gaps. He is bombing on and leaving Dembele back at times. Your best dribbler outside of the wingers doing the donkey work while the donkey goes gallivanting. So frustrating
