Bottling another title?

Unlikely, but the way we've been playing very possible. Another 3 points would have been dropped last night were it not for an incorrectly allowed goal.
And what a ***te game to watch. The hoof tactic, avoiding the midfield on most occasions, for most of the game only went to strengthen the blindingly obvious need for some creativity there, and never have I seen such a fall from grace in Valencia. The guy has become so one dimensional, so overwhelmingly uncreative, he's unrecognisable from the player he was before the Rangers injury. Was Nani not on the bench last night?
A far more pressing concern for me however is the complete and utter lack of motivation, drive and passion in the team. Rooney really looked like he rather be trawling the brothels of Canal Street last night, and the only moment of concern shown from the manager was Carrolls spear challenge on DeGea. Fergie spent the majority of the game sat down shaking his head, occasionally moaning at the ref. If we throw two titles in a row, I know exactly who I'll be blaming...

I don't mind Danny as a left forward, as such. And for England, when competition is Stewart Downing I don't mind seeing him there. Infact, Welbeck on the wing doesn't bother me for United. He'll always do a nice job. But, I don't think it gets the best out of him, and therefore stunts his development. He was a bad example. But the other examples of players played out of position I'll stick by.

Come on, Winston, you can't seriously think a new manager would choose to adopt the rotation policy that is currently in use? I really am 99% sure he wouldn't, as I'm yet to see rotation like it at any other 'big' club in Europe. I'm not even getting at Sir Alex here, I just don't see a manager using the same set up. We are obviously going to see alterations to our play, no matter who is in charge.

............

How many goals and assists has he had from the wing?

So you withdraw the guarantee that another manager might play Welbeck on the wing.

Yet you're still happy with your other guarantees?

Face it; we have no idea what may or may not happen with a new Manager. Yes, there will be changes - but what they are, we do not know.

Welbeck does do a ''job'' on the wing alright - a TERRIBLE JOB!

Could it not be argued that the title.is in the bag, Sir Alex has a large squad of players who need a run out so he can weigh them up. That this time of the season and this scenario is the best opportunity to do so. I am sure he is aware the points might get dropped, but there will be an element of Job done. If I were a Utd fan I would definately prefer such activities take place on virtually dead rubber games.
