Well as i expected really, we have not quite done enough to gain automatic promotion ,after going down 1-0 to Bradford this afternoon . What made it even more difficult was Lee Bell getting himself sent off ,not for the first time this season . His season is apparently over ?? according to radio Derby ! , i thought it was just a one or two match ban ! . We needed to have results go our way which didnt happen so now we have to pick ourselves up and go again once the Gillingham non event is out the way next saturday .Of course should we win and both Cheltenham and Rotherham lose and a goal deficit of 8 is turned around then we will still get automatic promotion . Their might still be a twist should Cheltenham win and Rotherham lose ,as the gap is two points . So now we have a problem in midfield as Dyer was carried off second half .What are our options ? old boys Webster ,Mcgrath ? is he back with us ? play three in midfield . Our squad will be put to the test now ,my personal hope is that Diamond is reinstated as his leadership is a must now . Zola well hes back ,was limping after ten minutes and managed an hour .Maybe he will come good at Wembley I wont hold my breath ! . Its been a super season and maybe im feeling a bit down ,but thats because we have come so close to what would have been a super season ,which lets face it ,isnt over yet but we are now in a lottery which really we could quite easily have avoided .

Lee Bell definitely facing a 4 match ban I'm afraid. He was sent off for violent conduct which would normally carry a 3 match ban but because he has already had his marching orders once before this season it is automatically increased to 4 matches.
I think that we can forget the play offs. Normally the team that comes through successfully go into the games on a run of good form. Unfortunately we have hit a rough patch and are not playing well exactly when we needed to.

I slightly disagree because we have won two home games recently ,and only lost 1-0 with ten men for half a game ,but i wouldnt want Bradford in the play offs ,they are a cup side who have massive crowd support and one off games are their speciality. But any team on the day are capable of turning the other over , Lee Bell is a blow and i feel four games is harsh at this stage of a season ,but this is going to give someone a chance to partner Robbie Weir but who ??
