Suarez for Falcao?

Hi people, something to change the tone.

Presuming both players and clubs were willing, would you guys go for the above deal, even if it meant throwing some cash into it too?

I say arguably as he's really yet to show his class in the CL. So it's hard to really make that claim conclusively as he's yet to really show this current form at the highest level.

It's the same thing I level at Suarez. I know it may sound elitist, but I feel it's something to consider.

Suarez has 21 in 45 European games, the majority of which were CL games for Ajax

They say bale is worth 100mil. And some claim we can only get 30mil for Suarez. Laughable really.

righteous, according to espn he only scored 2 goals in the CL while at Amsterdam.

But the point remains that as well as he's playing now, he's not performing in the elite competition of world football so it wouldn't be fair to call him the best striker in the world, in my opinion. Same with Falcao.

I know you can only play what's in front of you, though. Best striker in the world is not something we can answer with certainty, to be honesty.

I'd say there are a group that are all the top tier of strikers that all could stake a claim. I'd include Suarez and Falcao in that bracket though.

As if Falcao would come to Liverpool.

Suarez isn't a striker so i wouldn't call him the best striker in the world anyhow.

L'pool would have to chip in around 15-20 mil on top of Suarez to get Falcao imo.

Suarez may not have too many takers in the PL due to his previous; they'd just look like plums after all the stick that's been aimed at him from every quarter. That narrows the potential bidders down and drops the price somewhat.

A deal with Atletico would be great for him, as he'd get CL footy and a manager who'd love him to bits, while La Liga would be much more tolerant with his antics.

Atletico would look for a top player like him when they lose Falcao, just as they got the Colombian to replace Aguero, and would have a tidy sum left over to strengthen elsewhere.

L'pool would ensure themselves a top drawer striker, denying PL opponents the Colombian and ensuring Suarez wasn't a direct opponent either.

Falcao's the only party that wouldn't clearly benefit. L'pool are a great club in many ways, but they can't offer him CL footy right now and probably wouldn't be able to compete with the wages some of the richer PL sides could offer.
