In the last month I have stopped going to the gym and put on weight. I dont want to become as fat as Serial so any suggestions to what I should eat and at what times.

As long as you eat healthy, fruit, veg, cut down on carbs, drink water, even do minimul excersise at home
You can still be in good shape, unless your a fat kid in a healthy body, then there's no hope, he's screaming to get out
Feed him

To be fair, I've put on a fair few amount of fat. Stopped going to gym for a month too. I feel dirty, I'm gonna start running this week...it's only a pot belly though

The belly (beer belly) is the hardest thing to lose, I'm fit and healthy, but I have that lingering bit of man flab through beer damage
Out of football season I can put on a stone, in season I weigh around 13/14 stone

You weigh quite a bit. I'm 11st, used to be 10, but gained that in a month of going gym. Haven't gained any since, think this is my ideal weight.

I'm 6ft 2 to be fair, and I did quite a bit of weights last year, so it's turned to fat
13.5 stone or under would be ideal for football season, if not 13 stone

Muscle tissue can't turn in to fat tissue (apologies if you weren't speaking literally)
Muscle tissue just shrinks and fat tissues expand, luckily though it is much easier to increase muscle tissue size if you have done it before, will take you a lot less time to get back to fitness this time around
