Hi Guys, I hope that you are all OK. Not heard anything from any of you for some time. Not many of us here on this site, don't want to lose any.
Today is a big game, but, strangely I won't mind if we don't make it. With all the traumas of the last 6 months, promotion might give instant delight, but be ruin in the long run.
Is there anyone out there?

Thanks for the link RAP, very useful.
I'd like to see Caddis back too, it bordered on the criminal how that situation was mishandled. I agree with your list of 'essentials' although I'm not sure about McCormack. Miller we could do without, I always thought that he was a bad signing, Roberts too for that matter. The priorities for me are Flint, the Thompsons, Storey, Devera.
Not seen the loanees so I don't know...haven't we agreed to sign Byrne?
A core nucleus of proven players is essential.

Now mid May. A manager has enough time to see who is going & see what replacements are needed. The board has to give him a budget now to decide whether he can or cannot offer contracts to players he wants to keep. Then he has to evaluate the squad & sign additions with the money left.
Then he has to get them organised into a team. Plenty of time, but start now.

It's going to be life in the real world of League 1. It can be done, look at Yeovil. But you're right Gollum, we need to start now.

Yes, great news about Flint, Thompson N, Bedwell and Storey. Fifty years ago I was about to watch Bert Head's babes start our first ever season in the then Division 2. I'm all for giving youth a chance if there's a core of seasoned pros to guide them.
Don't see Caddis returning...he'll go to a Championship side I'm sure.
Good luck to Joe, I liked him, always gave his all whenever I saw him. He'll be a good signing for Pompey.
