Wigan home to Swansea

Three games to go!

Watson came back from his broken leg today, and Golobart was fit to come on as a substitute.

After today's win, eight teams are candidates to go down. On Tuesday, Wigan are home to Swansea, who have now gone seven games without a win.

Alcaraz or Caldwell could return on Tuesday too, while for Swansea Michu limped off this afternoon.

And then on Saturday it's the Cup Final!

Fair play today

You needed the points more and wanted it more in the end.

Maloney killed us.

Hope you stay up

Thanks guys, you're very generous. But there's still a long way to go.

We'll be happy to go into the final game three points behind Villa.

I just did the predictor thing and I had you guys surviving. I had 8 teams involved in relegation battle technically on last day all the way to fulham on 41. I had Norwich going down by 1 goal. I put you guys beating swansea at H, losing away at arsenal and then beating Villa. Norwich i had drawing vs west brom their just on a very poor run of form and city away last game, massive pressure on them now.

What game would you guys rather win the FA cup final or swansea

The romantics want to win the cup. The realists want to stay in the Premier League.

I'd rather visit Swansea and Cardiff next season than some outpost of Eastern Europe in the Europa League plus Doncaster and Bournemouth.

If we can win the cup and stay up, then everybody will be happy!

Curiously, Swansea have yet to be awarded a penalty this season. They certainly had a good claim yesterday.

It was definitely a penalty yesterday, was surprised it wasn't given.

they haven't had a penalty yet, we havent conceded a penalty yet, i think the law of averages will say next week at Old Trafford will be the day that penalty happens.

A win tomorrow will take Wigan to 38 points, equal with Newcastle, Norwich and Sunderland.

And Wigan would go ahead of Newcastle and Norwich on goal difference. Roll on Tuesday!

Sadly Wigan played today not to lose rather than to WIN! They were very tense and will probably go down to the Championship level.

Wigan's resources were strained to the limit - they were without first teamers Ramis, Alcaraz, Figueroa and Beausejour. Caldwell was apparently obliged to play with a pain-killing injection and Espinoza made a makeshift leftback.

Wigan did their best and twice took the lead, but ultimately Swansea gained control and scored the winner.

Wigan's bad luck with injuries continued. Stam came on as a substitute and immediately received an injury now thought to be a broken leg. So Wigan finished with ten men.

Meanwhile, Manchester City made eight changes for thier game against West Brom, giving most of their preferred team the night off.

It wasn't a good send-off for the Cup Final.
