Old interview but interesting nonetheless. So no more 'why did we not get Sturridge initially in the Torres deal'..

Balls, if we'd have wanted Sturridge at the time as part of the Torres deal then we'd have got him.

Chelsea only wanted to loan him, and Sturridge only wanted a loan.We wanted a permanent deal

We should of taken the loan then instead of waxing £35m on a donkey!
