The Wall....

No not the rowdy neighbours but the monstrosity that blocked mine and a lot of other fans' way down Homesdale Road from the Arthur last Brighton home game.
Has anyone heard anything or would you like to second guess what the police will do regarding the crowds leaving tomorrow night? Last time they kept us in the Arthur at the exit gate while the Brighton fans were allowed out and escorted to the station. Much was made of it at the time as it was a ridiculous decision in the eyes of anyone with a modicum of sense.
I like to park around the Clifton pub but will not if the wall is half way down the road. The police also have in the past blocked the Sangley road area at the top of the Homesdale and made it really awkward for home fans to get to their cars parked around there, having to walk round the blocks of houses. I don't want to be herded off to Norwood Junction either or anything silly as I need to get going in the other direction along with our rivals.
Any thoughts and opinions welcome.

I haven't heard anything but considering the away fans have to bring ID with them I would imagine the police will be OTT again. It'll probably be better to assume they will have those sort of restrictions. The club usually email or post any restrictions to the website.

The club also advised people to turn up earlier than they usually would because it is sold out. In particular people who have tickets in the AW because the turnstiles were designed for the old seating?

Also remember it's 7.45 kick off NOT 8.00pm like normal

The police have not revealed their tactics but most people assume they will keep the Brighton fans in Park Road and then escort them to Norwood Junction. It is unlikely there would be another wall considering the reaction it got.

I imagine anywhere between Selhurst Park and NJ will have restrictions.

Cheers Mon
Does it look as though the weed might be kept in this time from what you have gleaned?

Also having watched the other playoff game last night, I would wager that the overall winner comes from our tie. Leicester looked fairly solid and handled the Watford forwards well I thought. They look good for the final IMO but still look beatable.
I am hopeful more than confident tonight.
Enjoy the game.

I doubt it. Last time they were just held in Park Road. When the 3rd goal went in they did their usual disappearing trick and left early only to be kept in Park Road. They did the same with Charlton and Millwall.

If you're going to park near Clifton Road then I imagine you will be able to head down the Holmesdale Road no problem.

This is just me taking educated guesses at what has happened earlier this season. However if the police are convinced we're all terrorists then who knows what they have planned. Maybe tear gas and water hoses to make a path for the away fans to be airlifted to safety?
