I would much rather we had won the FA cup than get 4th. There's no feeling like winning a trophy. Yes the CL brings money in blah blah blah....but I am a real supporter and I like to see my team win things.

One day of glory followed by years trawling around the lower leagues OR building for a stable future that will reap far more trophies than Wigan will win.
I know which team is in the better place. Cheers today for Wigan will turn to tears on Tuesday night when relegation is confirmed.

Top four obviously. Trophies are nice but a stable, well run club is far more important.

wigan turn teams near top of the table at this time of the season, I can see wigan beating arsenal just like last season but tottenham bottling it and only managing a draw at stoke. Then both spurs and arsenal winning final league game.

I think things will come into perspective in a week or so.

i can bet my house that if given the choice between FA Cup or staying in the premier league, 99% Wigan fans would choice the latter... and the 1% would be kids under age of 13

I think most would choose both but if given the choice fa cup as its a trophy for a club like wigan its like once in a blue moon with the current setup. No one can takeaway birminghams win against arsenal even though they got relegated.

Yet if you speak to a Birmingham fan they tend to be moaning about being in the Championship and the desire to return to the PL. None of them ever seem to be discussing the cup final, which now is just a distant memory.
