Vincent Kompany

First article in a while and not a particularly interesting one...

But I just wanted to say that Kompany is a player who has shown time and again his class, respect and decency on and off the pitch.

He has praised rivals United after what must be horribly painful defeats, celebrated the long and wonderful career of SAF and today in what must have been torture to watch Wigan lift the trophy, he applauded them from the pitch the whole time and waited at the bottom of the stairs to shake the hands of every single one of the players and staff.

I wish even 10% of players nowadays showed his kind of attitude, brilliant player, too.

Top Man

He come across as a top man Kompany, he's clearly captain material, you can tell that the opposition respect him from the way they converse with him before and after the game, like the exchange he had with Dave Whelan on the way to get his runners up medal.

Being a good captain isn't just about going around the pitch or changing room bollocking people,it would get very old very quickly, you need more to your armoury then that to be respected.

Firstly,I really do not like what Man Cit stand for....too much cash...trying to buy glory short tem,so I am glad you got your comeupance....what goes around etc....

To the big heads....Joe Hart is at best aveage, woefully drawn into Wigans corner and goal. This conceited young man needs competition- he really is nowhere as good as he thinks he is.

Rodwell, again, way out of hs depth, was put in at Tevez's expense.
Whilst deeply dispsing Tevez, how is that ever a tactical soloution.

Big head number two - Mancini- slightest pressure and he capitulates - true Italan style, but sanctions a star in Tevez for Rodwell.

Mancini will be history and you will experience the tumoil of Chelsea.

I hope your money ruins you - you are a collective disgrace.

Shame on you.

Terrible advice from me earlier grated, should have told you to stay in work!

Where do you think it went wrong?

I expected your players to be really up for it and blow Wigan away but as good as Wigan where City almost seemed to be lacking the hunger... what is your take?

I ended up finishing early at 5, and rushing to my mates house to watch it... Wish I hadn't have bothered and stayed to earn another hours wage!

Players collectively didn't seem bothered. Without wanting to read too much into anything, it is slightly worrying that Mancini apparently couldn't get them up for a cup final.

Starting Nasri over Milner was a mistake imo, but, would it have made much difference? Not sure, Wigan played very well, it was just their day. Rare for Clichy to get such a shafting as he did by McManaman today, in fact I don't think I've seen him have such a torrid time in a blue shirt.

Will see, I'm not going to jump on any 'Mancini out' bandwagon, not sure that's the answer, but as well as Wigan played, we still fielded 11 players more than capable of winning.

......................................

That is the impression I got, it wasn't a million miles away from what the United team have been like the majority of our games since the Madrid knockout, understandable somewhat in the league but we only played 1 good half against Chelsea in two FA cup ties after that.

Mcmanaman has been playing pretty well for a good few weeks now so I wouldn't put it all on Clichy, think he came up against a quite good player in great form (playing the biggest game of his career) and in combination with him having a poor game it looked terrible.

What would you say then, you would really want Mancini to stay, you want Mancini to stay or you are not going to call for his head but you wouldn't be worried if he was replaced (presumably by the right man)?

I think, given you lot have just changed manager, we need stability. Moyes may take a bit of time to settle in, he may not, but there's no point putting ourselves in that position when we could be using that time to press on next season.

Also think Mancini deserves another season, but if we underachieve in the Champions League again then I think he'll be gone.

Pellegrini is 59, is that the answer? I'd only want Mancini to leave this summer if he's lost the dressing room.

it might sound stupid but Mancini has probably put himself in a more precarious position by winning the title earlier than expected. If City hadnt won the league last season this season wouldnt have seemed so bad.
