Ramsey is World Class

About time the Welsh Wizard gets the recogniton and credit he deserves. Since January he has been a revelation and the best midfielder in the league. Another majestic performance again last night. Once he starts adding the goals and assists he will be the complete player. Showed composure for his finish and I honestly believe next season he will be Europe's best midfield player. He will overtake the likes of Xavi, Gundogan etc. We just need Jack to recover from injury and than we have a midfield that will strike fear in world football.

He's not a defensive mid, same as arteta. He's become a holding/box to box mid, but only very recently. He wasn't specifically given that role, but has fallen into it by fact that he spent most of the season failing at something else. I like the way you guys write off the rest of the season just because he had a good month.

He's had a good few months, and it is clearly not just a random burst of good performances, it's a clear indication of enormous progress. He's not and out and out holding midfielder naturally, but he has been doing a great job in a more defensive-orientated role and you seem to be forgetting that he was put out wide in the early stages of the season, which did him no favours (except against man city).

Let me turn that round on its head, he's had a massive boost recently by Tomas coming back which has done him a lot of favours because the ball is moved much quicker when he's on the field so he actually has very little choice but to keep it simple rather than do anything fancy.

I have stated his performances have been much better recently. His decision making in the early part of the season was atrocious at times and what's getting my goat on this thread is when someone comes along and claims that Santi deserves to be put under the same sort of microscope when he's come from another league and hit the ground running. You dont hear anyone here making up those sort of excuses for him.

i've never said such a thing about santi. My point is simply that ramsey has come on leaps and bounds, been our best player for the last 5 games or so, and I believe will go on to be top player.

If you analyse the games you will see that Ramsey has done a lot more than make simple passes. He pulls strings, runs with it, hassles the opposition, turns defence into attack, ups the tempo etc. His attitude and his work rate are second to none in my opinion.

No, not you, I'm not disagreeing with what your saying. The whole argument was started by someone that dosen't appear to understand that he wasn't performing well from last year until recently. Moreover can't seem to understand why someone who's come from another league and done very well in their first season isn't under the same scrutiny.

Honest , hardworking player? yes; but no technical abilty, can 't see a pass and can shoot.
Rambo is average. We can certainly do better in that position .
I refuse the arguement that there are no players in the market who can provide the hard work the welshman brings and the added ball playing skill to make a difference in our club next season.
