A while ago a certain poster on 12yards, who claims that his brother is a season ticket holder at the Emirates, stated quite categorically that Jack Wilshere is the best player in England right now.

At the time even though a few rational and knowledgable people pointed out that he clearly isn’t, and I myself stated that I didn’t even think he was the best player at Arsenal, this person (who claims to know everything about everything, and is never wrong) stuck to his guns and maintained that Wilshere is the best player in England right now. He formulated this opinion on the back of one England match that he happened to see, that Wilshere featured in at some point, and the views of an alleged brother that nobody can confirm.

Now, I am somewhat confused. I have looked at the PFA Team of the Season and I can’t see Wilshere’s name mentioned anywhere? Surely this is a mistake?

How on earth can the best player in England not feature ANYWHERE in the team of the year? Ridiculous!

So, I checked to see what Gary Neville thought…..

Still no mention of Jack Wilshere!! Unbe-feckin-lievable. Morons. Witless Morons.

What about the “alternative" team of the year, where some of the usual suspects are discarded?

Nah, no Wilshere in there either.

Maybe there is some anti-Arsenal feeling going on here? So, I took a look at the Arsenal News Web-Site for their take on things…

WTF!! The BEST PLAYER IN THE COUNTRY omitted again!! BY HIS OWN FANS!!!

The only possible explanation is that the original posters opinion on Wilshere is total nonsense, based on watching half a game for England and listening to the views of his “brother" who it appears knows as much (or as little) about football as him!!!

Yet another example of how they are wrong all along on that side of the pond, and more proof (if any were needed) that you do indeed have to watch some football to hold a worthwhile opinion.

Why don't you answer my question DejaVu?

What was your point, creating this article?

posted on 15/5/13

I wouldn't worry about it wolfie, i think most posters realise who the real idiots are

I think its quite obvious to everyone that the point of the article was to get a rise out of you WITSS

So all in all, I'd say it is a pretty effective and successful article. 5 stars.

What a terribly unfair comparison to make Deja. Badgers are highly intelligent.

but yes the article was a smash hit!

Comparing Sunny to a badger is a little unfair isn’t it? One is a fat, immobile, disease ridden dumb animal that many people believe should be culled.........

...and yes, the other is a badger.
