Aye, seen Madden play a couple of times. Looks a talented striker too.

A wealth of untapped talent really.

Celtic had a look at paddy before he went to England and were interested in a short term low pay deal but his agent uncle made a balls of it..demanded too much and when Celtic refused a 2nd time he dropped the demands but Celtic said gtf.

Your loss in truth.

If Celtic do want an Irish striker though, you can swoop for Daly!

I dunno mate, he is decent but at the time was unknown/unproven. The agent saw it as quick bucks. Apparently the lad had his heart set on Celtic and couldn't really give a fook about the money initially.

I have an awful feeling we'll spend big money on Kevin Doyle's wages

Daly will be cheaper.

He is good, from what I see, although a little raw, but playing in Scotland will sort that out. All the leagues up here are roughly the same, ability wise I'd say, it's just finances that allow the clubs higher up in the leagues to out perform.

Doyle is a good player though. And free?

Young, potential, and hunger for the game is what I want us to look at.

Wolves have been poor, so maybe in a better side, he'll be better. Would be a good foil.

And that's good.

Another good story is Simon Dawkins story. He was told years ago that he'd have no career due to injuries, but Spurs still offered him pro terms.

Spurs offered him a new deal even after all his injuries, but he was too old, and physically developed to play against youths, so the sent him out to San Joses Earthquakes. He's now on loan at Villa.

Likewise, gnite.
