Shows that the defensive element of the team needs some work, Lucas being injured would have some effect but we need to stop conceding off set pieces.
The goals will come, with Coutinho, Sturridge, Borini and Suarez, that's a certainty. Just need to keep the ball better and sort out the issues at set pieces.

Whoever replaces Downing needs to 12-15 goals so still room for improvement which was shown with nil nil draws recently against West Ham, Everton, and Reading.

Set pieces is the achilles heel for us. Both scoring from and certainly conceeding from. We definitely need at least 2 cbs of sufficient height and power to bully the stokes...evertons...w broms etc. Sort that out and we will save 10 points a season ish.

i have to say i was getting pretty worried, as bredan said, Liverpool had finally found they groove.
Thank god, it took them only 9 months, to get going, cos i'm sure the Prem were getting worried.

Seen an article on the Spurs board mocking Got Better, which of course is understandable, but actually watching Liverpool this season I think they are definitely on the right track and whilst I think top 4 maybe tough for Liverpool next season, I see no reason why Liverpool could not finish 5th if they do some good business this summer.

I think one of the main things to sort out is the mental block we have with scoring the first goal.
If we score early, we go mad, but if we get to half time at 0-0, chances are we won't score at all.
