Yeah it's all rumours but vermaelen hasn't just turned into a bad player over night. He is still a very good player and it will be a backward step again if he is sold.

How would Verm staying help? If we accept that Kos/Per partnership is our first choice? Verm has not looked good with Per or Kos. Surely buying a player who would compliment them is much better?

They're not though, are they? Like when almost every paper in the country said we'd sell Walcott in January.
Stop talking out of your backside.
Selling Vermaelen will not weaken us because we'll almost certainly sign a replacement, and he doesn't exactly have to be outstanding to improve us. Stop bit.ching about every decision the club makes.
In this case, we haven't even made a decision, you're just going by what the Sun are reporting.
