Neymar

A journalist wrote an article about him recently that I think sums him up perfectly.

Already a better player in the minds of many then he is ever likely to become.

His skills are sensational, they really are.

Why are people knocking him so much?

The only reason why I see so many trying to play him down is because they fear him

I personally don't rate him but he's only 21 and his record so far is better than most if not all 21 year olds in the world.

"There is a crushing ambition to have the Brazilian mentioned in the same breath as Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo."

No, only by idiots like who wrote this statement/article.

So many people want this kid to fail it's unreal. Yes the media love to hype up the next big talent in Brazil but Neymar really is a great talent.

No one realistically is saying he will be the greatest player ever, just a player who could become one of the top in the world which he is showing with his performances for Santos and Brazil, he's only 21 for christs sake!

Any club in the world would love to have Neymar, give the kid a break.

All i can say is i'm looking forward to seeing more of him, alongside some exceptional players.

I guess he will be moved out to a wider position, like David Vila. Will this suit his style?

He's a joy to watch if you like skilful players, and i do, he gets a lot of unnecessary stick imo, i'd rather watch a team of neymars than a functional machine like the new european champions.

He has already scored over 20 international goals (in about 35 app I believe), and averaging well over a goal ever other game in brazil.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him match that with the players around him he will have at Barca. If they are smart, they will play him and Messi behind a prior striker, they'll get the best out of both that way.

Neymar's only 21, give him a break. He's going to be a star, he's already got a great scoring record.

The Brazilians know a player when they see one
