Every year though people say how poor the teams in the championship are quality wise but at least one always seems to prove the doubters wrong.
============
Not sure that's true.
Last year for example a lot of people rated the chances of Reading, Southampton and West Ham. Admittedly the Hammers did better than I expected and Reading worse but pre-season I'd have given them all a fighting chance against the likes of Wigan, Norwich, QPR etc
This year, I don't hold out a huge amount of hope.

Starring huh?

Oh for gods sake. I'd love to claim that was intentional...
I give up.

I would agree with that as well Sterling.
I certainly fancied Saints and West Ham would stay up comfortably and they did in the end.
Reading were a bit more of an unknown.
As A-Rap said, Villa and Sunderland will surely both be better next season. As probably will be Newcastle.
Norwich have just made their record signing.
Saints and West Ham will splash the cash.
Stoke are the only club I would say at this stage look potential relegation material next season.
I don't see anyone 'doing a QPR', and with Wigan finally gone, there is just not much relegation fodder about.

Everyone thought Swansea would go down when they first came up. Many thought the same for Norwich and Southampton. I reckon Cardiff will survive easily next year and Palace have a good chance too, but Hull will probably (and hopefully) go straight back down.

Only people who were ignorant to the Championship thought Swansea would go down to be honest.
I thought they would adapt well to the Prem and they did.
Most media are ignorant and just look at the size of the club coming up rather than the team they have, the funds and the manager.
That's why they tip most promoted sides to go straight back down, because they just have no idea about them. This year those ignorant predictions could actually be right though.
There are always surprises, but as someone who watches a lot of Championship football I would be amazed if two of this years three don't go down next season, and would be surprised if any of them stayed up comfortably.

RR - you must see more in Cardiff than me then. They look solid but devoid of creativity whenever I watch them.
Teams that stay up in the EPL are the ones that score, Swansea being a good example. Cardiff need a goalscorer, their version of Lambert. Didn't I read that even Bellamy only got 3 league goals last season?!

If this link is correct then no Cardiff player hit double figures:

Obviously goals were shared around then but I'd really worry for them without a top rate goalscorer.
