PREMIER LEAGUE!

I spent the whole day yesterday watching highlights to make sure it did actually happen (booked the time off work because I knew I wouldn't be able to cope whatever happened!)

Already I've had the plastics on my case about getting promoted. A few saying "easy 6 points", "you'll have to spend £100m", "you won't stay up" blah blah blah. My favourite was a Man Utd fan at work said "You're owners are only in it for the money and don't know what they're doing". If we had the choice between CPFC2010 or the Glaziers I know who I would pick (However the Glaziers do have a good name)

What's the reaction been like near you all? Bet they're loving it in Hastings!

Finally I imagine the "big games" will be sold to Season Ticket holders and members only, home & away. Therefore I advise some forward planning and if you can't get to games but want to then buy a membership (once ticket policy is confirmed)

I had exactly the same comments via text or Facebook about 6 easy points next season and this was on Monday. As if i was bothered then!
We haven't got a great Premiership record anyway, so if Ollie manages to keep us then great if not let's enjoy the season anyway. Sounds defeatist i know but i was born a pessimist.
If the owners are savvy which they seem to be then at least the future of the club should be more stable financially.
As for membership i was thinking that i will probably have to get one now to secure tickets for whenever i can get to a game.

Been told by a couple of people that Palace have no chance - but I honestly didn't care one iota when I was leaving Wembley on Monday

Think we have a chance of making a real fist of it with a couple of new faces, and getting Murray fit ASAP. Also really looking forward to seeing how likes of Parr, Williams and Bolasie take the step up - it should really kick their games on to the next level

Whatever happens next season, both financially and from a player perspective, it can only be of benefit to the club (With seemingly sound owners, who possibly want to revamp SP)

Hi all
I'll obviously be glad to stay up but equally surprised if we do tbh. It's fair to say that it's a bigger leap than ever for a club such as ours and history shows.................

That said, with the board that we now have and the stability it seems to be bringing, we may be at the start of something. Who knows

Tux good to see you back bud

Similar to what others have heard and think.
I've had a Chelsea mate thanking me for six points and a bit of the old inevitable prophecy of relegation. So what eh? I think in the main we are just pleased to be where we are considering we were relegation favourites in August. Let's be honest as well, almost to a man we must feel that the season would have been a good un by just getting to the playoffs because we all know about the serious stutter and poor form prior to the last game or two/three.
Like Somerset Eagle, I will buy a membership as it should help with buying some tickets, but if it doesn't then it's still not a bad £25 to spend. I'm sure I will be pretty much okay as the old man and nephew are ST's so I'm thinking that they will be able to purchase the odd guest ticket here and there. I seem to remember that when I have been a ST in the past I was able to buy for guests but I also had to buy a ticket for a 'B' game at the same time, but that's fair enough.

In answer to Mon- I received two congratulatory texts from the Brighton big heads the following day. Nothing deragatory and perfectly noble and gentlemanly which did surprise me. I've also had the Millwall, West Ham and Charlton fans on to me in the same manner. But not my Leeds mates who I haven't heard from at all yet!

On the Sunday prior, I went in the pub at lunchtime for a quickie in my Palace shirt and passed the Wembley ticket around for a bit of a wind up which went well
What was nicer was there were 8 Palace fans in for lunch who had come down from Norwood to see one of their old mums who lives in my village. They were all going to Wembley next day as well. Twas lovely to out number the weed on their own patch!
There are a fair few eagles dotted around East Sussex and we hold our own

I should add.....
Whereas in Brighton they hold each other's......................
.. allegedly ...

I was trying to explain to some non-palace fans that I don't really care what happens. As long as we beat Derby's 11 points I'll be happy to take the money and start again.

On the other hand it would be good if CPFC2010 could be the guys to break the trend of instant relegation.

Wembley was a nice day out but the real final was beating Brighton at the Amex......AGAIN! Thanks Brighton

SE the closest ones to you are Cardiff and Southampton? A bit further away than Yeovil and Bournemouth but nothings easy in the PL

All we can ask is that they have a real good go at it and I'm sure all connected with the club will do so. Clearly the owners are astute and we have a great chance now to have a few years in the top flight. If Dowie had more of clue in the transfer market we may have had a different recent history.
Let's hope Ollie is better. He was spot on with Dobbie and Phillips.
I think at the end there will be three teams worse than us and I will stick my neck out and say Hull,Cardiff and Sunderland/ Norwich.
