Reaching 8 finals at the same slam

Federer reached 8 Wimbledon finals, won his last slam there in 2012(I'm 100% sure).

Sampras reached 8 USO finals, won his last slam there in 2002.

Lendl reached 8 USO finals in 1989, won his last slam at the next slam he played, AO 1990.

Nadal reaches 8 French Open finals, will win his last slam there in 2013(I'm 100% sure).

I think so. He's been injured for too long, and in other surfaces, Djokovic, Murray and Federer will better him.

You're completely sure of something due to a freak stat?

You do realise they were all substantially older than Nadal is right now?

Sampras won 3 slams when he was older than Nadal is now; Lendl and Fed won 4 each.

A few months ago, people were speculating Nadal would have to retire from tennis altogether. Many thought he'd never be a force again. Since he returned he's reached 9 out of 9 finals.

Keep the stats coming.

reminds me of armstrong, just winning one tour in the whole year. Rest were winning across all the surfaces.
