Buckle up and enjoy the ride

First post and couldn't resist the title
Think this is a good move. Living in cornwall I hear a lot about Buckle and they do sing his praises. The main thing to remember it will be a very different looking BRFC next year, so give the man a chance

We have all the time in the world.... we will be spending another 6 years in league 2 so he has plenty of time to get things right......the stadium re-development will bw another 10 years at least....

Even his own kids think its a disaster!

In all seriousness this information was leaked to your vital gas site a week or so ago, do you think these sort of leaks are helpful as it seems to me a very good appointment could have been put in jeopardy by someone with loose lips?

Probably the boards way of announcing it without announcing it, just to pacify the fans.

My first post here. I think he is a good choice. A mate of mine supports another League 2 club and according to him Buckle was none too popular with fans of other clubs. Well, football management isn't a popularity contest. All I hope is that we don't have a repeat of the first season we went down 10 years or so ago, ie finish 91st in the league - I still have nightmares. He has a decent track record at this level. I don't expect miracles from him, and no doubt he will need some time but if he can make us competitive, and get us somewhere near the playoffs than I will be very happy indeed. Let's see who he brings in. But it has got me almost looking forward to next season - let's hope the optimism lasts!

IMO a solid appointment, and we need to give him a chance. I just hope we can play with some width next season and keep the ball on the deck. His first task will be to ship out those palyers who think they can decide which managers they play for. Bye bye Chris!
